Council Member Zohaib “Zo” Qadri, who took office in January 2023, filed a voluntary waiver to accept a reduced salary for 2023, per Ordinance No. 20150212-017. The amount of salary waived—plus the city’s portion of employment taxes applicable to the waived salary—could be used by the council member for the municipal purpose of operating his council office, including staff salaries.
Qadri’s waiver reduces his salary by $834.15 for 25 pay periods for a total of $20,853.75.
