This file details Georgetown Council Member Pat Berryman's after-the-fact accounting for expenses she claims were incurred in connection with her duties as a council member, while also a state employee working for State Senator Steve Ogden (R-Bryan), July 2008 through December 2009. On December 18, 2009, Berryman was paid $13,600 for expenses but furnished no receipts and no accounting of any kind. These records were obtained through The Austin Bulldog's Open Records Request filed under the Texas Public Information Act. That request resulted in an Attorney General's opinion that required Berryman to release records of her expenses. When she had not done so six weeks after the opinion was issued, The Austin Bulldog filed complaints with the Attorney General and the District and County Attorneys of Williamson County to compel Berryman to release these records.
