Central Health Brackenridge Campus Master Plan, January 27, 2016

This 54-page PDF is a copy of the Master Plan for the 14.3 acre site that was formerly home to the University Medical Center Brackenridge. The vision calls for building “a new mixed-use community within Austin’s downtown, where people can live, work, learn, and play.” That vision was effectively undermined, if not destroyed, when Central Health parted ways with the “preferred master developer” it had selected and instead executed The 2033 LP lease of two blocks of the campus. Those two blocks have been subleased to the University of Texas “for future programmed campus expansion and sublease of space to third parties.”
