This illustration was presented to the Austin City Council’s Audit and Finance Committee on October 25, 2011. It shows how e-mails about city business sent to, or sent by, members of the city’s 55 boards and commissions would flow through the Internet and be captured on city servers for retrieval in response to open records requests filed under the Texas Public Information Act.
